Little Change Creators wins awards: Best toy, creative play activities and more

It’s been an award-winning year for Little Change Creators!  Our Brisbane-based business has scored wins, nominations and accolades in several Australian and international awards, including UK’s Junior Design Awards, Australia Post’s Local Business Heroes and the My Child Magazine Excellence Awards among others.

These Awards consider specific criteria - ethical practices, social responsibility, product design, business success and customer service – and are judged on their merit.  We’ve summarised our achievements below.

2022 Roar Awards - SILVER WINNER

The Roar Awards are Australia's coolest business awards for individuals, businesses, brands, entrepreneurs and creatives.  Now in its fourth year, these awards are professionally-judged by global industry powerhouses.

This year's awards were held in Brisbane and Little Change Creators won SILVER for Start Up Of The Year!

Junior Design Awards (UK) - BRONZE WINNER

The Junior Design Awards (JDAs) are considered the UK’s most prestigious accolade in the children’s lifestyle space.  Hosted by UK parenting and lifestyle magazine, Junior, these awards attract a global audience of modern parents looking to discover quality children’s products and world-class toys.

This year, the #JDA22 judges assessed 350+ products and brands across 76 categories including fashion, toys, travel, books, furniture, interiors, and tableware.

Little Change Creators was fortunate to be shortlisted in THREE categories;

• Best Travel Product (For Children)
• Best Eco Toy Design
• Best Creative Play (Arts & Crafts)

Our Re-FUN-able Colouring Sets won BRONZE in the Best Creative Play (Arts & Crafts) category! 

Australia Post Local Business Heroes Awards - STATE WINNER (QLD)

Each year, Australia Post scours the country in search of outstanding small businesses.  This year it selected 57 businesses from close to 1000 nominations across Australia for its Local Business Heroes campaign.  Little Change Creators was one of them.

Local Business Heroes rewards selected small businesses with promotion throughout its post offices as well as marketing materials, coaching and equipment.

My Child Magazine Excellence Awards - BRONZE WINNER

My Child is a leading Australian parenting magazine responsible for the annual My Child Magazine Excellence Awards.  The My Child Magazine Excellence Awards recognise the best in baby, kids and parenting products.  They’re designed to give Australian parents and caregivers a platform to voice their support for the products and brands they use and love.

Little Change Creators Re-FUN-able Colouring Sets won Bronze in the Favourite Child Travel Product category.  This means a lot to our small, Australian business since it was voted by customers (no favours for corporate sponsors!) and big brands Babyjogger and B.box took out Gold and Silver respectively.

Little Change Creators also received nominations for;

• Favourite Toy Product

She.com Awards - EDITOR'S CHOICE WINNER

The She.com Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of women with product-based businesses.

This year, the Awards attracted close to 350 nominations and were judged by a panel of experts in e-commerce. In the Kids - Play category, nominations included;

• Wild Dough

Little Change Creators received the Editor’s Choice prize as runner-up in this category.  Popular play dough brand Wild Dough and portable play business Kingdom Playroom were chosen as Winner and Highly Recommended (third place) respectively.

The AusMumpreneur Awards celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding achievements of Australian mums in small business.  These nationally-recognised awards have been running for the past 10 years and acknowledge success in business, product development and customer service.

Little Change Creators’ founder, Paige, was a finalist in FIVE categories for the 2022 AusMumpreneur Awards.  Not a bad achievement given Paige spent most of the year juggling business around home-schooling her two young children! 

Australia Post Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAs)

Every year, Australia Post gives small business owners a chance to be recognised for their customer service and business excellence.  Little Change Creators was nominated in the 2022 People’s Choice ORIAs. 

2022 Queensland Day Awards

The Queensland Day Awards were established to shine a light on ‘good’ people doing extraordinary things. 

Little Change Creators’ founder, Paige, was deemed a worthy recipient of this Award through her dedication to family, business and community donations of her products.

Award recipients are acknowledged at a ceremony marking the State’s birthday on 5 June. 

Running a small business requires a lot of hard work and sacrifice – late nights, missed opportunities and a constant juggle between competing priorities.  That’s why we’re very grateful to be recognised for our good design, ethical business practices and all those sleepless nights!  Thank you for giving us a go and supporting our family business.
